Table tops are exactly that - they are thick enough to act as base of a table the the thickness is considered by application - for example small coffee table VS dining table - overall dimensions and finally aesthetics - thicker edges look more imposing and become more of a feature.
If the requriement is more cosmetic and functional as opposed taking the full requirements of a table top and you are placing the glass on a solid base you could consider a thinner glass option in table top protectors. We consioder table protectors as being items that are placed on a solid base - regardless of material - simply to protect the base or to add a design feature eg printed glass protectors.

Glasswork tops are becoming more and more popular. Domestically they tend to be used as perhaps a kitchen island top or as the main kitchen worktop itself. Note we can provide all the cut outs etc for the sinks or cooker sections as required.
The maximum size for this section is 2350mm x 1180mm
Commercially we are seeing this more and more in restaurants, hotel lobbies and bars.
The tops can be painted, printed or simply clear. In addition you can have LED lighting as a feature in your installation. Another new and exciting development we have manufactured a few times recently is using crackle glass in your table top. Details for crackle glass can be found here /crackle-glass/
