Adaptor Systems

Glass adaptors or stand offs are a contemporary and stylish fascia fix glass balustrade design from our wide selection of glass balustrades. Grade 316 stainless steel with grit brush satin finish our adaptor system passes BS 6180 with a 0.74kN rating. Independent static calculations conclude this system is suitable in a high wind load area if you follow the appropriate fixing data (extreme wind loads need further consideration). The maximum height for this system is 1120mm and maximum glass span is 1500mm. The system can be manufactured to different heights for additional charge, and it can be used in designs with angles other than 90 degrees with handrail by using our adjustable handrail connectors available both in vertical and diagonal versions.

For heights over 8m it may be worth strengthening the system by moving to a handrail solution if you have selected no handrail, but the test data does not demand this. 

This is suitable internally and externally and 0.74kN rating covers all domestic use applications and light industrial use where there is limited footfall traffic.
